ABOUT US |
The "All American" Story |
|
In 1975 John Romano was working with his father building custom homes in Faifield County, Connecticut. A client, so pleased with their new home, requested a swimming pool to be built as well. Having never built a pool, the Romanos suggested that a swimming pool company be commissioned to construct the project under the caring supervision of father and son.
Shortly after construction began, the Romanos became frustrated with the quality and expediency of the work.. They decided to release the company from their contract and look elsewhere for a company to complete the project.
|
Rather than seeking out another company John persuaded his father to build the project themselves. With some hesitation his father agreed and John began a love affair with the swimming pool industry that continues to this day.
After the successful completion of his first pool, John left the family construction business to start his own swimming pool company, focusing on the renovation of existing pools. This was a period of great creativity and innovation for John, challenging him to analyze the standards in swimming pool construction, then implementing changes resulting in a swimming pool of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship.
Thus in 1977, All American Custom Pools and Spas was born and we've been growing our company ever since. Our latest addition is an interactive Indoor Swimming Pool Environment where you can experience the feeling of having your own back yard oasis!
Through all these twenty-six years of growth and change it's interesting to note that John Romano's attention to detail and passion for every project he creates has never wavered.
In fact, it would not be unusual for you to see John waving to you from his backhoe as he carves out the site for your new swimming pool!

President's Message |
"Of all the improvements you can make to your home, a swimming pool is probably the most dramatic. It doesn't just enhance the value of your property, it changes the quality of your life! But such an important lifestyle decision begs the question "Who should I trust to build my pool?
Over the years clients have asked me "why did you become a swimming pool contractor"? Well, it's not exactly the type of career a kid dreams about, but the more I pondered the question, the clearer the answer became.
Simply, I enjoy creating things, and I enjoy making people happy. I love art, science, nature, and technology. Designing and constructing swimming pools combines all these disciplines.
A contractor who is missing any of these abilities will undoubtedly fail to meet their client's expectations. Your pool is a personal expression of who you are and how you live your life, so it's important to select a contractor who thinks of a swimming pool project as much more than a hole in the ground filled with water. To select a pool contractor you must ask a lot of questions. The more you know, the more you will understand and appreciate the value of a superior built pool.
It may seem paradoxical, but even with all of today's high-tech innovations, I believe pool builders are very much akin to the craftsmen of long ago. Working with our clients, we translate their ideas and concepts into physical form. Yes, we have big machines, but essentially pools are built by hand and each project has the personal signature of the "craftsmen" who built it.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Despite all the pools we have built over the years, we are very aware that "yours" is the only one that matters to you!
At All American Custom Pools and Spas, we love what we do and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to create your very unique backyard oasis."
Sincerely, John C. Romano President All American Custom Pools and Spas.
